Silchar - Assam University through its Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), has invited applications for the Faculty Induction Programme/Guru Dakshta (online) scheduled to be conducted from February 1 to February 28, 2026.
The programme is open to faculty members from universities, colleges and other higher education institutions. The training will be conducted in online mode, with sessions scheduled daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Attendance ill is compulsory in all sessions.
As per the official notification , the program will focus on key areas of higher education and academic development including :
- Higher Education and its Ecosystem
- Curriculum Designing, Outcome-Based Learning and Choice-Based Credit System
- Teaching, Learning and Assessment
- Technology for Teaching and Assessment of I-Generation
- Personal-Emotional Development and Counselling
- Research, Professional Development and Academic Leadership
- Academic Integrity
- Constitutional Values, Human Rights and Fundamental Duties
- Environmental Consciousness and Sustainable Development Goals
- Strategic Planning and Management
The last date to receive the application is January 28, 2026.There is no registration fee for the program. Participants who attended all sessions and successfully complete the multifaceted evaluation process will be awarded a certificate of successful programme completion.
The program is being conducted under the patronage of Prof. Rajiv Mohan Pant honourable, Vice-Chancellor, Assam University, Silchar. The Patron for the program is Prof. R.Balakrishnan, Director, UGC-MMTC, Assam University. The program is being coordinated by Prof. Ajay Kumar Singh and Dr.Sreeparna Bhattacharjee, Department of Education , Assam University, Silchar.
