New Delhi. : The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has announced the recipients of the prestigious National Sports Awards 2024. These awards will be presented by the President of India during a special ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
The awards recognize excellence in sports, honoring outstanding sportspersons, coaches, universities, and organizations for their contributions.
Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award 2024
Awarded for the most spectacular and outstanding performance in sports over the past four years:

Selection Process
Applications were invited online, allowing sportspersons, coaches, and entities to self-nominate via a dedicated portal. A large number of applications were received and reviewed by a Selection Committee chaired by Justice (Retd.) V. Ramasubramanian of the Supreme Court of India. The committee included eminent sportspersons, sports journalists, and administrators.
These awards celebrate the relentless dedication and achievements of individuals and organizations in advancing Indian sports on national and international stages.
