Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has withheld the interim marks list of three candidates in the assistant professor recruitment examination.

The marks list which was released by the KEA on Saturday has refused to release the results of the three candidates due to an investigation that led to malpractices in the recruitment process. The accused candidates are Sowmya, who was a PhD student at the university of Mysore and the other two candidates who were in contact with her.

The question paper of the geography subject was leaked minutes before the exam could commence.  The KEA conducted an initial Inquiry based on the complaint filed by the candidates and the matter was referred to the Malleshwaram police. Considering the evidence gathered, the PhD student and her guide who was the registrar at Karnataka University Dharwad were arrested by the police.
