Bengaluru : The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will be hosting an event called Manipal Marathon on February 12 (Sunday), 2023. A promo run of the event will be held across MAHE campuses, both in India and abroad, on January 8 (Sunday). Both the marathon and the promo run will be held in order to treat poor children with cancer, with the promo run charging participants with a RS. 100 registration fee. There will also be a mega carnival post run and the winner will receive 15 lakh in prize money. The marathon’s theme is “Early Detection saves lives – I Can Cer-Vive”.

The promo run is only available to Manipal staff and students and registration can be done by contacting the physical education department of Kasturba Medical College (KMC) in Manipal. Anyone else can register through the link below to participate in either the 3k rotary run or in the 5k (Rs. 425), 10k (Rs. 650), 21k (Rs. 1000, half marathon) or 42k (Rs. 1475, full marathon) runs. People can also voluntarily donate money starting at RS. 250. The starting location of the marathon will be Manipal Academy in Udupi, Karnataka.

This will be the 5th edition of the Manipal Marathon, which is held annually within Manipal and provides runners with scenic journeys through the hilly terrain of Manipal and Udupi. The event is led only by students and the objective is to celebrate the joy of running and instill that love within students.
