Manipal Academy Enters Core Counselling Phase for 2026 Cycle
MAHE has now moved to the secondary high-stakes stage for 2026/27 admissions. As an Institute of Eminence and with NAAC A++ status, it has conducted the initial rounds of its competitive admissions and started the process of allocation of seats. After completing the dynamic Computer-Based Test (CBT), the university formally issued the MET 2026 Rank Cards on June 3, 2026.
This has formally triggered the active counselling systems across its extended premier campuses. The primary campuses of Manipal, Bengaluru, Mangaluru, and Jamshedpur are currently validating counselling systems. Students satisfying the entry requirements are quickly finalising their course preferences. The flagship course offerings for counselling are engineering, pharmacy, nursing, management and allied health.

Advanced Entrance Metrics and Stream Options:
Getting admitted into some of MAHE's most attractive options requires crossing several tiers. This year's ranks included a new structural feature. They now use a 50:50 combining method to merge raw MET results with the corresponding normalised Class 12 board results. To safeguard student merit, for those applicants who undertook both Phase 1 and Phase 2, only the best score was considered
In addition to the standard Manipal Entrance Test (MET) stream, MAHE opened another, highly focused, selection stream which was reserved only for the rank holders of the JEE Main who scored in the top 10 percent (or higher). This new selection system was completed in early May, allowing the university to use June for the unified common counselling system.
Besides the engineering fields at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), applications for undergraduate programs based on Board merit, Master’s programs, and specialised diploma programs remain open for final data verification on the main University dashboard.
Steps for Strategic Academic Foundations and Enrollment
MAHE links students with opportunities based on advanced global educational strategies. An important feature is the MAHE's industry alignment strength. Every graduate student takes a required semester-long placement. MAHE has superior placement records. The best engineering placement offers are from top-tier industries.
If students wish to secure a place after the Round 1 List is published on June 8, they are required to meet certain financial obligations. To comply, students must make a partial payment of the course fee from June 8, 2026, to June 15, 2026. This payment will facilitate document verification and secure a place for the next academic session.
