Andaman & Nicobar, India, In a significant move to bolster awareness regarding intellectual property in academia, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (MGAHV), Regional Centre, is organizing a specialized online awareness workshop. This program is being held in collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM), Nagpur, under the aegis of the National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM). The workshop, titled "Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): Patents and Design Filing," aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the legal and practical frameworks surrounding innovation.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 04:00 PM to 05:00 PM. While the workshop will be conducted online via Cisco Webex, the primary transmission center will be the Laboratory in Informatics for the Liberal Arts (LILA) located at the MGAHV campus in Wardha, Maharashtra. Participation is open to a wide academic audience, including all faculty members, researchers, and both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Interested individuals must complete their registration by 05:00 PM on March 23, 2026, through the provided Google Form link.
The workshop features a distinguished lineup of speakers and coordinators. Shri Kumar Raju, Assistant Controller of Patents & Designs at RGNIIPM, Nagpur, will serve as the keynote speaker, providing expert insights into the patent and design filing process. The program is being organized under the guidance of Prof. Kumud Sharma, Vice Chancellor and Chairperson of IQAC. Dr. Ashok Nath Tripathi is serving as the Programme Coordinator, supported by Dr. Rajeev Ranjan Rai as the Co-Coordinator. Notably, there are no registration fees for this program, and participants will receive e-certificates upon successful attendance and submission of feedback.
