New Delhi. : KTH Royal Institute of Technology has announced that the KTH India Scholarship Foundation will award one KTH India Scholarship for 2026, offering full tuition fee coverage and a monthly living allowance to an eligible Indian student pursuing a two-year master’s programme in Sweden.
Established in 2012 through a donation by an anonymous benefactor, the KTH India Scholarship supports academically outstanding Indian students. The scholarship covers tuition fees for both the first and second year of study, subject to satisfactory academic performance in the first year, and includes a living allowance for 10 months per academic year.

- Applications open: 1 December 2025
- Applications close: 15 January 2026
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Indian citizens who have completed their undergraduate studies in India and must be fee-paying students. Candidates should apply to a master’s programme at KTH as their first priority and pay the application fee. Students with conditional eligibility may also apply. The scholarship is not applicable to joint master’s programmes or programmes with mandatory exchange components, such as Railway Engineering.
Selection Process
The scholarship is awarded primarily on academic excellence. Selection is based on academic performance, the ranking of the applicant’s undergraduate institution, and the applicant’s motivation, relevant work experience, and extracurricular activities. As per the foundation’s statutes, applicants from the Mumbai Metropolitan Area and Pune will be given priority. Indian applicants may also apply simultaneously for both the KTH India Scholarship and the KTH Scholarship.
