Chengalpattu - Team AeroKLE from KLE Technological University recently participated in the SAE ISS ADDC 2026, a prestigious national-level competition organized by the SAE INDIA Southern Section. The challenge focused on designing and developing an autonomous drone capable of safely delivering a fragile payload to a specified waypoint location.

Demonstrating, exceptional technical skill and innovation, Team, AeroKLE successfully delivered the payload with an accuracy of 15 cm from the designed waypoint. This remarkable performance earned the team All India Rank 2, along with the a cash price of ₹ 50,000.

In addition to their competitive success, Team AeroKLE was also honoured with the Best Presentation Award, receiving an additional cash prize of ₹5000. The achievement reflects the university's strong emphasis on hands-on learning, research and innovation in emerging technologies such as autonomous system and drone engineering.
