Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2026: Kerala adds Fresh MBBS, BDS Option Registration Open Till October 7

Kerala: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has opened fresh online option registration for the third phase of MBBS and BDS allotment for the 2026-27 academic year on September 28, 2026. Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2026: What's New in Round 3?

Unlike simply carrying forward the previous choices, CEE Kerala has indicated that fresh online option registration is necessary for being considered for allotment in the third phase. Candidates who are included in the medical rank lists published by CEE Kerala can register their options through the portal. The options submitted by October 7 at 10:00 AM shall be used for the provisional and final allotment.

Candidates who already received their admission and joined in one of the previous phases but do not submit their fresh options shall retain their prior admission. However, candidates seeking a new allotment need to complete the prescribed option-registration process.

Who Can Register for Kerala NEET UG Third Phase?

The candidates who are eligible and have been included in the medical rank lists published by CEE Kerala can participate in the fresh option registration process. The notification also covers the candidates who received an allotment/admission in the previous phases and candidates who did not receive an allotment. However, the implications of registration or not are different depending on their existing admission status.

A significant point relates to the candidates who received an earlier allotment but did not take admission or obtained the Transfer Certificate after getting the admission. What Happens After Kerala NEET Round 3 Option Entry?

CEE Kerala will publish the provisional allotment on October 8 and final allotment on October 9, 2026. The candidates who are allotted the seats have to complete the college joining within the notified window which ends at 4:00 PM on October 14. Failure to do so within the prescribed period can lead to the loss of the current allotment, the previous-phase allotment and options in the relevant stream, according to the notification.

The notification also mentions that if vacancies remain after the third phase, they may subsequently be filled by Stray Vacancy Allotment, with the details to be announced separately.

Important Note for MCC Counselling Candidates

The candidates participating in both All India Quota and Kerala State Quota counselling should take care in following the MCC directions. CEE Kerala has mentioned that if MCC directs that the candidates allotted or admitted through the Third Round All India Quota become ineligible for the corresponding State Quota third round and shares the relevant list, their Kerala options will not be considered.
