Kerala LLM allotment 2026: what students need to know
The centralised allotment system covers LL.M admissions to Government Law Colleges and participating private self-financing law colleges with whom the Kerala government has a seat-sharing agreement for the 2026-27 academic year.
The primary point of emphasis for candidates is that the option registration is not automatic; candidates must log in and submit their choices themselves. CEE Kerala has set an option registration fee of ₹2,000 for eligible candidates. Candidates in the specified SC/ST/OEC categories, and candidates from Juvenile Home, Nirbhaya Home and Sreechithra Home are required to pay ₹500.
The fee is refundable for candidates not allotted an option. However, if a candidate is allotted an option and does not join within the stipulated period, the amount is treated as a penalty and not refunded. The same applies when a candidate quits a seat after taking admission.

The first round of centralised allotment includes four Government Law Colleges:
- Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram
- Government Law College, Thrissur

Several participating private self-financing institutions offering specialisations such as Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Commercial Law, Maritime Law, Administrative Law, Business Law and Criminal Law & Criminology.
What should candidates remember?
Candidates must enter options only for courses and colleges they are willing to join and continue studying if allotted. CEE Kerala specifically advises applicants to make their choices with care. The allotment and institution joining schedule will be announced separately. Candidates that are allotted an option must satisfy the prescribed eligibility conditions and complete admission within the notified period.
Failure to join within the designated period may lead to the loss of the allotted seat and higher options. For students, the safest route today is not to wait until the final minutes. Check your preference order, verify the portal submission and complete the process before 5 PM.
