Remember, a mock allotment result should not be confused with an admission result. It only indicates which college would be allotted to which candidate with the current preferences.

Why is Mock Allotment Important?

The word "mock" in "mock allotment" may give the impression that the result is not very important, but this is not the case. The Engineering and Medical mock allotment result will give an indication of whether a candidate's preference list is too long, too short, or in the wrong order.

Candidates must compare the seat allotment with their actual preferences before the deadline for preference order change. Accepting the first college without checking the preference list will mean a number of missed opportunities during the subsequent rounds of counselling.

Final Thoughts

The latest KEA Counselling update includes three separate admission events: UGCET Round 2 mock allotment, UG NEET Round 1 mock allotment, and the first round seat matrix professional diploma. Candidates should see the mock allotment more as a caution than a result. Find out where your current preference list is taking you, make changes if the opportunity is still visible, and remember the official KEA schedule.
