Bengaluru: The students who attempted the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG)-2022 found, except chemistry, the rest of the papers to be on a moderate level. The test was conducted on Sunday by the National Testing Agency (NTA)

Over one lakh students appeared for the exam. The parents and students anxiously assembled outside their exam centers from 10:30 a.m. itself and the exam commenced at 2 p.m.

Most of the students attempted their exams for the first time and while some gave their second and third attempts. The students who had previously attempted the exam found some of the questions were repeated. “This was my second attempt. I prepared with determination, and I am happy with this attempt. Some questions which had appeared last year were in this year’s question paper too” said a student who wrote her exam in the exam center in Malleshwaram.

Some students felt that the structure of the questions had varied compared to the questions in the model papers. Students found that the biology paper was very lengthy.

Students who appeared for the examination will be selected for 10,260 seats in 63 medical colleges across the State. The students were nervous about their chances. “Only 10% of the total candidates who write will get those seats. I am a little scared about chemistry. It was tough.  I would be happy if I get into any medical college in Bengaluru,” said a candidate at a center in Yelahanka.

“From September, I have started my preparation and I think I can score well,” said another aspiring candidate at an exam center in Malleshwaram.
