Karnataka: The Karnataka Pre-University Examination Board (PUE) is all set to begin the Karnataka 2nd PUC Exams 2022 on April 22. For easy travelling of students to the exam centres, the government has announced free travel for students on the state-run KSRTC buses from April 22.

As per the government, students who will appear for the exam would be able to travel for free by showing their admit cards for the examination while boarding the bus. The examination will be conducted across 1076 examination centres in the state.

Besides offering free transport, the government has also taken strict measures to ensure a peaceful examination process. The areas where the examination centres have been set up would be under strict vigilance. Announcing the measures, State Education Minister BC Nagesh shared that a 200m area around the examination centre would be declared a restricted area. District officials have been advised to ensure the same. Apart from this, 24X7 CCTV cameras have been installed. Police would also be deployed in the areas to ensure smooth and incident-free examinations.

Due to the Hijab controversy, several major and strict actions have taken place for the Karnataka PUC II examinations.
