Kakatiya University to Host National Seminar on Populist Policies

Scholars and researchers invited to deliberate on policy shifts, with paper submissions open till January 25

Warangal: The Department of Political Science, Kakatiya University, Warangal, will organise a two-day National Seminar on “Populist Policies in Post-Liberalization India” on February 16 and 17, 2026. The seminar aims to provide an academic platform for scholars, researchers and students to critically examine the nature, impact and implications of populist policies in India after the economic reforms of the 1990s.

The seminar is being organised with the support of the Telangana Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad, and the University Grants Commission (UGC), Kakatiya University Unit, Warangal.

According to the organisers, all accepted papers presented during the seminar will be published with a reputed publisher. Accommodation will be provided at the University Guest House for registered outstation delegates, subject to advance information and payment.
