Assam - Gauhati University has released an official notification for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post in the Department of Botany. The position is under a research project funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The walk-in-interview will be held on January 5, 2026 at 10:00 am onwards in the Department of Botany, Gauhati University , Assam.
Candidates who have MSC in Botany, Biotechnology or Microbiology witn NET/GATE qualification are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to those with experience in environmental DNA work, PCR techniques and Microbial data analysis. Interested candidates must send their biodata, application and scanned copies of certificates by email to hemendeka@gauhati.ac.in on or before January 3, 2026. Selected candidates will receive a fellowship of ₹ 37,000/- per month plus HRA, as per the rules.
