New Delhi: The School of Life Sciences (SLS) at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has organised a Summer Research Workshop centred on “Molecular to Organismal Biology.” Scheduled from 1st to 25th June, 2026, the event is accepting applications till 30th April, 2026.
The workshop has an enrollment limit of 30 students. Within this number, final-year undergraduate and first-year postgraduate students pursuing any stream in the domain of Life Science are eligible to register.
To apply, candidates are required to fill out a Google Form, and upload a brief curriculum vitae to the same. No separate registration fees are involved. Applicants will be selected for the workshop on the basis of merit, though, simultaneously, preference will be given to those belonging to specific remote regions of the country or minority categories to maintain JNU’s commitment to representation. Candidates will be informed of their selection through e-mail.
Though no campus accommodation is available, outstation participants may be housed at the hostel of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre. This arrangement, however, will be subject to availability of accommodation and payment charges.
Supported by the Indian Department of Biotechnology’s programme that provides a Boost to University Interdisciplinary Life Science Departments (DBT-BUILD programme), this workshop is aimed at the exploration of novel ideas in the Life Sciences, as well as the acquisition of hands-on experience through innovative laboratory techniques.
