New Delhi :- Mr. Mohd Yasir Khan, a PhD Scholar from Department of Biotechnology has received best prize in poster presentation competition at Genomics India 2024 held on 1st -3rd Feb 2024 at Shiv Nadar Institute of Eminence, Delhi-NCR. Genomics India is platform for researchers, clinicians, and other professionals to stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field of genomics and had participation from over 10 countries in its 4th edition.
Mr. Yasir is working under the supervision of Prof. Zahid Ashraf, Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Life Sciences, JMI. His PhD research work involves the identification of role of Long Non-Coding RNAs in blood clotting developed under the influence of hypoxia. Hypoxia in simple terms is the deficiency of oxygen in body tissues and can lead in the development of blood clots. This study would help in the development of biomarkers as well understanding the mechanistic role of long non-coding RNAs.
