New Delhi.: The University Placement Cell (UPC) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) successfully conducted a two-day workshop titled “Leveraging AI Tools to Boost Job Readiness” on February 27-28, 2025. This event featured sessions led by experts and hands-on activities aimed at enhancing students’ employability skills. Prominent industry figures, such as Mr Sanjay Baxla (Former Senior VP, DLF Group), Mr Ashish Mediratta (Senior Principal, Eightfold), and Mr Syed Asim (Founder, Vecospace), shared valuable insights on AI-driven recruitment trends. A key highlight of the workshop was a real-time interview conducted by AI-Alex, which allowed participants to experience the technology-driven hiring processes firsthand.

The event also featured a resume preparation and validation session led by Ms Khushi Gupta, an expert trainer from Elios Management. Additionally, approximately 100 students engaged in one-on-one mock interviews conducted in five parallel rooms, facilitated by JMI alumni Hamza Haider, Saad Rizvi, Aaliya Waseem, and Khushi Gupta. These interviews provided students with instant feedback and practical insights into their performance. Students from various disciplines enthusiastically participated in the workshop, which equipped them with AI-driven strategies for successfully navigating the evolving job market.
