New Delhi :The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) organized an online Expert Lecture Human Response to Vibrations” on 21st February, 2022. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Abid Ali Khan of AMU and attended by about 70 participants. 

Prof. M.M. Hasan, Head of the Department, welcomed the distinguished speaker and highlighted the significance of expert lectures on specific engineering topics. 

Prof. Abid Ali in his lecture shared his rich research experience with the students and discussed the importance of ergonomics in design of products and systems. The speaker described the adverse effects of vibration on human beings and the methods of their quantification & solutions adopted by the industry to minimize such adverse effects. He shared his recent research contributions in the field of ergonomics.

The event was coordinated by Prof. Z. Mallick and Prof. S. M. Muzakkir. The speaker, Prof. Abid Ali Khan, congratulated Prof. M. M. Hasan to restart the expert lecture series for the benefit of the students and faculty members. 

The event concluded with the coordinators thanking the speaker, all the participants and the head of the department.
