New Delhi: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has conducted a one-day Training Programme on My Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) Portal on 15th October, 2024. The programme was sponsored by the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India. 56 teachers of various schools of Delhi attended the training programme. The programme has been designed to impart hands-on training sessions for various Centre and State Government officials and faculty members of educational institutions to be trained as Master trainers for on boarding and posting of events and other activities for youth engagement on the MY Bharat portal.
My Bharat has been launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India during the culminating event of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav at Kartavya Path, New Delhi on National Unity Day i.e. 31st October 2023. A digital platform for MY Bharat has also been launched which proposes to connect youth with volunteering programs in different sectors. This would enable youth to engage with the community, to participate in development tasks, and develop leadership skills in them. My Bharat offers experiential learning programs and volunteering opportunities which help them to enhance their skills in the current scenario. Along with this, it also enables youth to participate in different events of various Government and non-Government bodies. MY Bharat enables the Convergence of existing Government programs as well.
The Ministry has deputed Dr. Immaraju Luke John Baktha Singh, Professor at Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh as Master Trainer for the Training programme at JMI. Welcome Address was given by CA. Shaikh Safiullah, Finance Officer, JMI. The training programme was inaugurated by Prof. Sara Begum, Dean, Faculty of Education, JMI.
From JMI, Professor Lubna Siddiqui, Department of Geography and Dr. Abid Husain, Department of Psychology have been nominated as Master Trainers for the upcoming training programme on My Bharat Portal. They were also participants in the training programme conducted yesterday.
The certificates were distributed by the Officiating Vice Chancellor of JMI, Prof. Mohammad Shakeel and Mr. M. Nasim Haider, Officiating Registrar, JMI in the valedictory function.
The programme ended with a formal vote of thanks by Mr. Hari Narayan (Nodal Officer) Assistant Registrar, Administration Section, JMI.
