JK Lakshmipat University Hosts 13th Convocation as Female Graduates Achieve Remarkable Success

JK Lakshmipat University celebrated its 13th Convocation in Jaipur, awarding 295 degrees and diplomas. Female graduates excelled with nine out of ten gold medals.

JK Lakshmipat University in Jaipur held its 13th Annual Convocation on November 24, bringing together graduates, dignitaries and academic leaders to celebrate academic achievement and personal growth. A total of 295 students received degrees and diplomas across engineering, management and design disciplines.

The ceremony highlighted the exceptional performance of female graduates who secured nine of the ten gold medals awarded this year. Renowned author and former Director of Tata Sons Limited, R Gopalakrishnan, attended the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasised the significance of women’s economic contribution and encouraged students to complement technical knowledge with strong human understanding, interpersonal skills and continuous learning.

The event also coincided with the university’s Founder’s Day, observed annually on the birth anniversary of Lala Lakshmipat Singhania. Pro Chancellor Harsh Pati Singhania reflected on the JK Group’s legacy of nation building and its longstanding commitment to education. He highlighted the visionary approach of Lala Lakshmipat Singhania in establishing institutions in diverse fields long before the concept of corporate social responsibility became widely adopted.

During the Founder’s Day address, Mr Singhania reiterated that education should nurture intellectual agility, curiosity and responsible innovation. He encouraged graduates to view learning as a lifelong pursuit. Vice Chancellor Professor Vijaysekhar Chellaboina presented the annual report and reminded students of the importance of adaptability in a rapidly changing technological environment. He emphasised that character traits such as sensitivity, humility and curiosity will remain essential throughout their careers.

Among the 295 awards presented were 103 BTech degrees, 94 BBA degrees, 49 BCA degrees, 40 BDes degrees, three MDes degrees, five PhDs and one PG Diploma. The list of gold medalists included Manasvi Jain, Poorna Bhati, Khushi Agarwal, Kavisha Gupta, Shruti Kumari, Naomika Dwidesh, Jasmine Kaur, Trisha Roy and Anay Sinhal.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Board of Management, the Academic Council, directors of various institutes, Registrar and CFO KK Maheshwari and Controller of Examinations Umesh Gupta.
Founded in 2011, JKLU has earned notable national and international recognition, including AAA Plus rating by Careers360, multiple rankings by India Today and IIRF, and strong performance in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. The Institute of Design was also awarded the Don Norman Design Award in Education for its contribution to human centred design learning.
