JKBOSE Conducts Official UFM Committee Hearing in Jammu Today

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has summoned an official hearing session of the Unfair Means committee today, August 20, 2026. The hearing session will be conducted at 10:30 AM (Morning) at the JKBOSE office complex in Rehari colony, Jammu. The meeting has been called by the Joint secretary, Secrecy/UFM in the Jammu region to discuss the cases of students caught using unfair means in the recent JKBOSE Secondary and Higher Secondary examination.

Cases Involving Unfair Means During Examination

The board committee had arranged this official hearing session to review and clear all pending malpractice cases from the Annual Private and Bi-annual 2026 exam sessions:

  • Those involved with class 10th, 11th, and 12th students from the Summer and Winter zones.
  • The candidates appearing in the class 10th JKSOS (JK State open schools) sessions, and
  • Those accused of using unfair practices in the Jammu division.

Why the Hearing Session Was Summoned

The board has asked accused students to appear personally in front of the committee to explain their side of the story. The hearing will help the board clear all the pending malpractice files before declaring the result of the upcoming supple examinations. Those whose names or roll numbers appeared in the official notification were urged to appear before the committee. Candidates can clear their names in front of the selection board by producing admissible documents and written explanations about the case.

How Accused Students Can Defend Themselves

Students called for the hearing can defend themselves by giving explanations about their cases and submitting admissible documents to establish their innocence before the panel. The board moderator will question the students one on one about the incident at the examination center.

What the Rules Say About Malpractice Cases

The Joint secretary, and other committee members present at the hearing will decide whether to take any action against the accused students based on the cheating cases captured on camera. For instance, if the flying squads find banned materials in the examination center, they can recommend various penalties such as:

  • Canceling the whole examination results if the punishment is severe,
  • Canceling the entire subject results,
  • Removing the candidate from the exam hall and banning them from resitting the examination for 1 or 2 years, and
  • Acquitting the student if the panel finds the case was fabricated.

Final Verdict on Malpractice Cases Will Be Published Soon

The hearing session will conclude in the evening, where the committee will finalize its verdict. The result of the accused candidates’ roll numbers will be published on the JKBOSE portal jkbose.jk.gov.in . All students are reminded to check the official notice board for updates regarding the final judgment of the case. The board needs to clear all files about unfair means practices as quickly as possible so that it can publish clean mark sheets and prevent unnecessary delays in the admission process for the year 2026.
