JEE Main 2027: NTA Allows Candidates to Submit Fresh Application Forms to Rectify Errors

New Delhi: If you have made any mistake while filling out your JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application form, you can now submit a fresh application form as clarified by the National Testing Agency (NTA). As per the advisory released on October 30, 2026, candidates can submit a fresh application form to rectify any errors in their application. However, it must be noted that the examination fee will not be refunded or adjusted for any previous application.

Moreover, the NTA has clarified that only the latest application with successful payment of examination fee and generation of Confirmation Page will be considered as valid. Students who wish to make minor changes can utilise the correction facility between November 27 to November 29, 2026.

JEE Main 2027 Fresh Application Form: NTA Clarifications

As per the latest clarification, candidates who have already filled out their JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application form can fill out another fresh application. This facility has been provided to candidates who have noticed any mistake in their previously filled details. Candidates will have to fill out all the required details and upload the photograph, signature and other documents as required. Candidates will receive a new application number.

However, candidates will have to successfully pay the prescribed examination fee to make the application form valid. It must be noted that the previously paid application fee will not be refunded or adjusted. Candidates must keep this in mind before deciding to submit a fresh application. Only The Latest Application With Payment And Confirmation Page Will Be Considered As Valid A key point to note from the NTA clarification is that only the latest application with payment of examination fee and generation of Confirmation Page will be considered.

So if a candidate fills out more than one application, only the latest application with payment of examination fee and generation of Confirmation Page will be considered. For example, if a student has completed their application and paid the fee but then fills out another application, only after making the payment and generating the Confirmation Page will their application be considered. If a candidate fills out a fresh application but does not make the payment and generate the Confirmation Page, their previously completed application will be considered. Candidates should download and save the Confirmation Page of their final valid application.

NTA Warns Against Using Multiple Application Numbers

The NTA has issued a warning against using multiple Application Numbers for the JEE Main 2027. As per the clarification, candidates will be considered to have used unfair means (UFM) if they appear for the examination with multiple application numbers. Candidates may be penalised as per the examination rules.

The facility to fill out a fresh application should not be taken as an opportunity to appear for the examination multiple times with different registration identities. Students should ensure that they know which application is their final valid application and use this application number.

JEE Main 2027 Correction Facility
