JEE Main exam session for IIT entrance exams postponed

New Delhi: The first session of engineering entrance exam ‘JEE-Main’ has been postponed to June while the second session has been postponed till July. The National Examination Agency (NTA) has recently given this information. The first session was scheduled to be held on April 21, 24, 25 and 29 and on May 1 and 4, 2022. Now it will be held from 20 to 29 June. Similarly, the second session which was to be held from May 24 to 29, will now be held from July 21 to 30.

“The NTA has decided to reschedule the dates for the first and second session of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Main on the basis of several representations received from the candidates” the agency said. This is the second time that the schedule of the first session of this important examination has been changed. Last month also, the NTA had rescheduled it as its dates were clashing with the class 12th board exams. The last date to apply for JEE Main i.e. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 was April 5, 2022. JEE Main 2022 is conducted for candidates seeking admission to engineering and architecture courses in institutes including Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs) across the country.
