Jammu University Announces On Spot Admissions for Law Courses

Jammu University has released Admission Notification 16 to conduct an on spot admission round starting July 31, 2026. The counseling drive aims to fill remaining vacant seats in the 3 year LLB and LLM programs. Eligible candidates must report physically to the Department of Law campus with their original marksheets, entrance scorecards, category certificates, valid photo ID proof, and required admission fees.

The University of Jammu have issued a new notification regarding admissions today. This official paper is Notification-16 for post graduate courses in the campus. Many students was waiting for law seats from many days. Now the administration have given a big relief for everyone who missed earlier rounds.

As per the notice released by university authority, spot admission process is going to start on July 31, 2026. This process is specially for fill up remaining empty seats in two main law courses. These courses is LL.B 3-Year programme and LL.M programme. Students who wanted to take admission in these law courses can now get a direct chance. The notification clear all doubts regarding empty seat filling process in department of law.

Vacant Seats in LL.B and LL.M Courses : 

In many top colleges, after regular counseling round finish, some seats remain empty because students drop out or take admission somewhere else. Schedule and Process of On-Spot Counselling : 

The on-spot admission drive is set to begin on July 31, 2026 inside the university campus. Candidates need to reach the Law Department physical venue early in the morning. The reporting time have been kept early so registration can finish on time.

When candidates reach there, they have to fill a physical form for spot round. The merit list will be prepared on the spot based on marks obtained in entrance test and previous qualifying degree. Candidates who reports late might lose their claim on vacant seats, so reaching on time is very main point. The allocation of seat will be done immediately after merit list is called out. If a candidate name is called and they are present, the seat will be offered on the spot.

Main documents required includes marksheets of graduation degree, 10th and 12th passing certificates, and entrance score card. Also, candidates must bring category certificate if they is claiming any quota. Passport size photos and valid photo ID proof like Aadhaar card is also required in original along with photo copies. Along with documents, candidate must also bring admission fee because fee payment have to be done on same day to confirm the admission seat.
