New Delhi, January 2025 – Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) hosted a grand event to launch the ‘Study@JMI Foreign Students Information Brochure’ during its New Year and Orientation Programme for Foreign Students 2025. The event was attended by ambassadors, heads of missions, cultural and education attachés, senior diplomats, and officials from the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
The launch, presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif, welcomed dignitaries from 13 countries and foreign students from 31 nations pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs at JMI. Ambassadors and envoys praised JMI’s academic excellence and global reputation, urging students to maximize their learning opportunities in India.

- Global Participation: Ambassadors and diplomats from countries like Jordan, Egypt, Venezuela, Somalia, and Iran addressed the gathering, emphasizing JMI’s role in fostering international collaboration and cultural exchange.

They encouraged students to embrace the cultural and academic opportunities at JMI, becoming ambassadors of their nations and responsible global citizens.
ICCR Support:
- Mr. Raj Kumar, ICCR Zonal Head, reaffirmed ICCR’s commitment to supporting foreign students through scholarships and funding, highlighting India’s robust higher education system.
