National Conference “BIOPHYSIKA 2026” to Highlight Recent Advances in Biophysics

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBSC) at Jamia Millia Islamia is set to organize BIOPHYSIKA-2026, a one-day National Conference focusing on recent advancements in biophysics and allied sciences. The conference will bring together students, researchers, faculty members, and industry professionals.

New Delhi ; - The National Conference BIOPHYSIKA-2026, themed “Recent Advancements in Biophysics and Allied Sciences”, will be held on 11 February 2026 at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. The conference is being organized by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBSC) with the objective of promoting interdisciplinary research and scientific exchange in emerging areas of biophysics.

The event will be held under the leadership of Prof. Mazhar Asif, Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, as Chief Patron. Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar, will serve as Patron, while Prof. Md. Zahid Ashraf, Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences, will be the Co-Patron. The conference will be chaired by Prof. Rajan Patel, Director, CIRBSC. Prof. Fareeda Athar will act as Convener, with Prof. Asimul Islam as Co-Convener.

UG/PG Students: ₹300 (On-spot ₹500)

PhD Students: ₹500 (On-spot ₹800)

Faculty: ₹1000 (On-spot ₹1500)

Industry Participants: ₹5000 (On-spot ₹7000)

BIOPHYSIKA-2026 will focus on a wide range of key areas including drug design and discovery, computational biology, biological networks and AI, molecular mechanisms of disease, biotechnology, nanobiotechnology, mathematical modelling, statistical analysis, and environmental sciences.

Registered participants are encouraged to present their recent research through oral or poster presentations. Abstracts (maximum 250 words) must be submitted by 9 February 2026. The conference will also feature awards for best oral and poster presentations, along with certificates and prizes.
