IPU BA B.Ed Counselling 2026 Begins July 17, Don't Miss These Key Requirements

Indraprastha University (IPU) has a new announcement. BA B.Ed. Offline counseling will be on July 17, 2026, at Dwarka Campus. Applicants of NCET 2026 who have completed the admission application process will be eligible for seat allotment based on merit as well as verification of documents on the same day. Candidates are required to bring a bank draft of ₹ 96,000, along with the documents, to complete the admission process.

IPU BA B.Ed Admission 2026: Offline Counseling & Merit Seat Allotment on July 17

Those who wish to pursue the Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Education Course (BA B.Ed) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) should note that the University has announced that the first round of offline counseling for BA B.Ed admissions will take place on July 17, 2026, at the Dwarka Campus, to conduct document verification and allot seats based on merit.

This counseling round is available for candidates who qualify the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026 and who have submitted an application for admission to the BA B.Ed Course.

 

Who Can Attend the Counseling?

Only candidates who fulfill the following criteria can attend the counseling:

  • Qualified NCET 2026
  • Submitted an application for admission to the BA B.Ed program at IPU
  • Satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria as specified by the University
  • The University will perform a document check and will allot seats based on merit for the counseling session.
  • Documents to be Carried by Applicants

The candidates should bring the following documents with them to avoid delays:

  • A bank draft for ₹96,000 in favor of the Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
  • Four passport-size photographs
  • The NCET/CET admit card
  • Rank card
  • The online application form
  • A Birth certificate
  • Other documents as specified by the University

Candidates who do not have a required document or the admissions fee may be unable to complete the counseling process. The IPU has stated that on July 17, document verification and seat allotment will be finalized in a single multi-stage counselling session. Verified documents will then allow seat allotment based strictly on merit order. Currently, the BA B.Ed programme (Code 161) has an intake of 50 students and is being offered at the University School of Education, Dwarka Campus.

 

Deadline for Cancellation of Seats Allocated in Counselling

Seats allocated to a candidate during the counselling process may be canceled by the candidate by July 27, 2026, as per the admission schedule of the University, if the candidate decides to withdraw from the admission process.

 

Significance of the BA B.Ed Programme

Students enrolling in the four-year integrated BA B.Ed programme obtain a bachelor’s degree and a B.Ed degree in teacher training by the end of the programme. Integrated teacher education programmes are now part of the NCET, which aims to provide pathways for the integrated model within the teacher education system in India.
