Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is finally starting their first offline counselling session for Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) program. This is a very huge news for all the students who have cleared the CET exam and waiting for their college admissions. The university have decided to do this process offline this time, so you have to physically go there to get your seat. This counselling is happening on July 7, 2026, which is exactly today. If you are one of the merit candidates, you should get ready with all your papers because this is your main chance to enter into your dream college under IP University.
Location and Reporting Time Details :
The university is calling all the qualified students to their main campus which is located in Dwarka, Delhi. You have to reach the Dwarka Campus on time because if you get late, they will pass the seat to the next student in the merit list. The university have made separate sitting arrangements for students and their parents so that everything goes very smooth. Make sure you check your rank wise slot before leaving your home because different ranks have different reporting times. It is always better to reach at least one hour before your actual time so you don't face any last minute tension or traffic problems in Delhi.
Very Important Documents You Must Bring :
When you are going for offline counselling, your documents is the most important thing. If you miss even one single paper, they can cancel your admission right there. You need to carry your CET admit card and your rank card which shows your merit position. Also, do not forget your 10th and 12th class marksheet and passing certificates, both original and photocopy. The university staff will verify everything on the spot. You should also keep 4 to 5 passport size photographs and your identity proof like Aadhar card. If you belong to any reserved category like SC, ST, or OBC, you must bring that certificate also otherwise they will treat you as a general category student.
How the Seat Allocation Process Works :
The seat allocation process is very simple but you have to understand it nicely. They will call the students according to their CET merit rank. When your turn come, they will show you the available seats in different colleges under IP University. You have to choose your college choice on the spot. Once you select a college and they lock your seat, you have to pay the admission fees immediately to confirm it. If you do not have the money or DD ready, the seat will go to someone else. So, please discuss with your parents beforehand about which college choices is good for you so you don't get confused inside the counselling hall.
Next Steps for Selected Students :
After you successfully get a seat and pay your fees, the university will give you an allotment letter. This letter is the proof that you is now a student of IP University BMS course. Keep this slip very safely because you will need it when you go to your final allotted college for starting your classes. If some seats remains empty after this first round, the university might announce a second round of offline counselling later. But things does not change easily if you miss the first round, so try your best to clear everything today itself and secure your admission in this session.
