Haryana: The Department of Nutrition Biology at the Central University of Haryana organized the first event of the International Year of Millets-2023 celebration under the guidance and mentorship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar on July 29, 2022.  In the series of events an invited talk of Dr. Paras Sharma, Scientist, ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad was conducted. 

The event started with University Kulgeet and Lamp lighting. Ms. Isha, a student of the Dept. of Nutrition Biology gave an introduction about the celebration of the International Year of Millet. Ms. Toshi, another student of the department, introduced the speaker to the gathering. 

During the talk, Dr. Sharma emphasized the importance of millet in human health. His talk focused on Millet: Nutrient composition, processing and Challenges.  The talk was followed by a question and answer session. During the event all students of the department along faculty members were present.
