Bengaluru - The Department of Biotechnology, School of Applied Sciences (SoAS), REVA University, has announced an INSA-sponsored three-day hands-on training programme titled Integrating Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics: Hands-on Training (IMBBI-2026). The programme will be held from February 10 to February 12, 2026.
IMBBI-2026 is designed to equip participants with both practical skills and conceptual understanding of integrating wet-lab molecular biology techniques with computational Bioinformatics approaches, which are essential for modern biological research and data-driven life sciences.
The key objectives of the training include bridging the gap between molecular biology and computational bioinformatics, introducing participants to current tools, databases, and analytical approaches, offering hands-on sessions for skill development, and enhancing the research capabilities of students, research scholars, and faculty members.
Programme highlights include expert lectures by resource persons from reputed institutions, intensive hands-on training sessions, exposure to real-time biological datasets, interactive discussions and practical demonstration and a certificate of participation for all registered participants.
The training programme is expected to benefit students, researchers, and faculty members seeking to strengthen their expertise at the interface of molecular biology and bioinformatics, supporting advanced research and interdisciplinary learning.
