New Delhi : - The J N Tata Endowment has announced the j n tata environment loan scholarship for Fall 2026 - Spring 2027, inviting applications from Indian students who wish to pursue higher studies abroad.
According to the official notification selected, students will be provided with a loan scholarship and may also be recommended to a partial Travel Grant and a Gift Award depending on their academic performance during the overseas studies. These additional benefits are offered at the directions of the Trustees of the Trusts concerned.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following conditions:
The scholarship is open to Indian citizens who have completed at least one undergraduate degree or are in the final year of an undergraduate programme at a recognized institution in India.
Applicants must intend to pursue postgraduate, doctoral, or postdoctoral studies abroad in a recognized graduate programme.
Candidates who were not selected earlier, or those who could not avail of the J N Tata Endowment loan scholarship despite selection, may apply again.
Applicants already pursuing postgraduate studies overseas may apply at the end of the first year or at the start of the second year, provided at least one full academic year (12 months) remains at the time of the scholarship award (typically in July). Candidates on CPT or OPT must have at least two full semesters or three quarters remaining.
Applicants must have secured a minimum of 60% average marks in their undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
Applicants must not be older than 45 years as on June 30, 2026.
Scholarship Benefits (Prizes & Rewards):
Selected candidates will be eligible for a loan scholarship of up to ₹20 lakh.
In addition, candidates may be considered for a partial Travel Grant and a Gift Award, linked to academic performance, at the discretion of the Trustees.
The J N Tata Endowment stated that this prestigious scholarship aims to support talented indian students in accessing world-class, higher education opportunities abroad , and two contribute to the development of skilled professionals who can bring global knowledge back to India.
