Chennai, : The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Construction Robotics Laboratory, established with ₹3.30 crore in CSR support from Bechtel India Private Limited. The laboratory will support research and development in robotics, automation and advanced construction technologies for real-world challenges in construction and infrastructure.
The laboratory is being led by Prof. T. Asokan from the Department of Engineering Design and Prof. Koshy Varghese from the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Madras.
