The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will inaugurate the first ever global IIT campus — IIT Madras Zanzibar — in early November, the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said.

The announcement was made during the ceremony of the conferment of Honorary Doctorate upon H.E. Samia Suluhu, President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
