West Bengal: The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) has launched its first fully online academic offering, an Executive Post Graduate Certificate (EPGC) in Generative AI and Agentic AI. The programme marks the institute’s entry into structured digital executive education in advanced artificial intelligence domains.

According to the institute, the programme will be delivered entirely online and led by faculty members from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Artificial Intelligence at IIT Kharagpur. The curriculum is designed to combine theoretical foundations with applied learning, focusing on the development and deployment of AI systems. Participants will receive direct instruction and mentorship from IIT Kharagpur faculty without third-party teaching partners.

The programme includes practical components aimed at building production-ready AI applications and is aligned with current research and industry developments in generative and agent-based AI systems. Successful participants will be invited to attend an on-campus graduation ceremony and will be granted Executive Alumni status.
