IIT JAM 2027 Registration Ends Today, October 19
Kolkata : Students who wish to study at the postgraduate level at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or other institutes, can apply for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027, till 11.50 pm today. Earlier, the deadline was set as October 12. To apply, visit the official website of JAM 2027 at jointpmt.nic.in. The registration process includes filling in and submitting the required information, uploading scanned copies of signature and photograph, selecting the test city and paper(s) and paying the application fee.
This year, 23 IITs will conduct postgraduate programmes for which students can appear in the JAM 2027. To apply for JAM 2027, students must meet the eligibility criteria. Who Is Eligible for IIT JAM 2027?
Candidates who have finished their undergraduate studies or are in their final year of their undergraduate studies can apply to the JAM 2027 exam. However, fulfilling the eligibility criteria of JAM 2027 and the admission requirements of the preferred institute are separate. There is no age limitation for the exam. Qualifying JAM does not guarantee admission to a preferred institute/programme.
Each institute has its own educational qualification for admission. Also, while applying, the candidate needs to see if the eligibility criteria of the programme of their preferred institutes are in line with the eligibility criteria of the course applied for JAM.
IIT JAM 2027 Exam Date and Pattern
The IIT JAM examination will be held on 14 February 2027, from 9.30 AM to 12.30 noon (forenoon) and from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM (afternoon) sessions. A total of seven papers are listed in the official schedule.

As per the guidelines, candidates are allowed to attempt one or two test papers, however the selected papers must be in different sessions. The examination is in the form of MCQs, MSQs and NATs. The result is expected to be declared on 18 March 2027, however, candidates are advised to continue visiting the official website for other important notification related to the examination and admission process.
