IIT Indore Opens Faculty Positions Across Multiple Disciplines

One of the leading Institutes of National Importance, IIT Indore, has initiated another round of faculty recruitment for researchers and academics interested in pursuing their careers.  IIT Indore has faculty positions available for Assistant Professor Grade I and Assistant Professor Grade II for the recently established Schools and Departments and for programs in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Astronomy, Sustainability, Biosciences, Biomedical Engineering, and the School of Innovation, among others. The applications should be received by 5 PM IST, July 21, 2026.

Who Can Apply?

Depending on the department, candidates must have the following:

• PhD with First Class or equivalent relevant discipline
• Strong academic record

For the Assistant Professor Grade I level, it is expected that the applicant should have a minimum of three years of teaching/research/industry experience after the PhD.

For Grade II, the appointment is contractual and meant for early-stage researchers. Relaxations of certain eligibility criteria for candidates without a PhD are considered based on the years of experience by the School of Innovation.

Salary Can Exceed ₹1.9 Lakh Per Month
