IIT Delhi organize career fest ‘Pravritti 2022’ today

:- The fest can be attended by Non-IIT students through virtual mode :- Pravritti 2022 offers a wide variety of events such as jobs and internships fair, virtual industry tours, human library with alumni, panel discussions, leadership talks etc

 

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi Office of Career Services (OCS) is going to organize a two-day annual career fest ‘Pravritti 2022’ on April 18 and 19. The theme of this career fest is, “Reshaping Chances to Choices”. Most of the non-hiring events under Pravritti are open to non-IIT Delhi students also in a virtual mode, the institute said.

“The aim of the fest to be conducted in a hybrid mode is to train students, assist them to connect with organizations and industry and enable them to gain a perspective on various career avenues so that they are able to make informed career decisions,” IIT Delhi said in a statement.

Speaking of Pravritti 2022, IIT Delhi director Rangan Banerjee said: “Our Institute is organizing Pravritti 2022 to help students understand company needs and enable them to identify career options that match their strengths and interests.” Around 100 companies will be visiting including all activities scheduled in the fest.

Vineet Rai, founder and chairman of Aavishkaar Group will deliver the keynote address virtually at the opening ceremony of Pravritti 2022 today, between 1- 2 PM. He will speak on the influence of impact investing, creating socially and environmentally conscious organizations and careers in the sector. 

During the IIT Delhi career fest, organizations can hire IIT Delhi students by conducting selection processes and extending offers to candidates, it said. For the job and internship, around 20 companies are expected to visit the campus physically while around 50 will be conducting processes virtually.

“Through the non-hiring events, the Institute's aim is to provide insights and multidimensional perspectives on career avenues in various sectors ranging from new age sectors like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain Technology, Digital Currency and traditional sectors like Analytics, Civil Services, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Higher Education and Core Technical by senior industry professionals. Competitive Events, Workshops and Virtual Industry Tours will include insights on skills needed to be successful in selection processes,” it added.
