IISER Application Form 2024: The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) today will open applications IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2024. IAT is held to shortlist candidates for five-year (dual degree) programme for science students and four-year BS degree programme for engineering sciences and economic sciences (offered only at IISER Bhopal).
IISER will update the link for the IISER application form 2024 at iiseradmission.in. Candidates will have time till May 13 to apply for the research programme. Candidates can correct application forms on May 16 and 17. IISER will release hall tickets on June 1 and the exam will be conducted on June 9.
Eligibility
Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam in the science stream in 2022, 2023 or 2024 with a minimum of 60 per cent marks (general candidates) can apply for IAT 2024. For candidates belonging to scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person With Disabilities (PwD) the minimum score requirement is 55% to apply for IAT 2024. Each of these pathways necessitates a unique application form.
Application Fee
The application fee is to be paid by the applicant during the submission of the application form.
— Rs 2,000 for candidates applying under General, EWS, OBC, and OBC-NCL categories.
— Rs. 1,000/- for candidates applying under persons with disabilities (PwD), persons registered as Kashmiri Migrants (KM) and SC/ST category.
— The application fee is non-refundable.
IISER Aptitude Test (IAT)
IAT will consist of 60 questions, 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
Total time for answering the test will be 180 minutes. Questions will be of multiple choice type with only one correct answer.
Marking scheme
— Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks.
— Each incorrect answer will lead to the deduction of 1 mark.
— Unanswered questions will be awarded 0 mark.
— Therefore, maximum marks in IAT will be 240.
The tentative total number of seats available for BS-MS/BS programme is 1933. The seats are available under BS/MS program in IISER Berhampur, IISER Bhopal, IISER Kolkata, IISER Mohali, IISER Pune, IISER Tirupati, IISER Thiruvananthapuram and under BS program it is available in IISER Bhopal (Engineering Sciences) and IISER Bhopal (Economic Sciences).
