Bengaluru : The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) will be hosting an online workshop for Inclusive Ecology in February, 2023 and is currently accepting applications, with the deadline for submission being January 10 (Tuesday).

The workshop’s purpose is to expose applicants to broad concepts and approaches in quantitative thinking, behaviour, conservation, ecology and evolution. There will also be other workshops regarding life as a PhD student, building professional skills and careers in ecology. The target audience for the workshop are students from under-represented groups and socioeconomic minorities (SCs, STs, OBC, EWS and others).

Students enrolled in Bachelor of Science or Technology programs (second year onwards) or Master of Science (first or second year) or have graduated from these programs are allowed to participate. As long as students show interest in ecological sciences, they are welcome to attend the workshop, regardless of their specialization. Applicants currently enrolled in a PhD program are not allowed to attend.

The workshop will be held on February 17, 18 (Friday and Saturday), 24 and 25  (Friday and Saturday after the first two sessions). The workshop does not require any fees to attend and applicants can apply through the link below.
