Bengaluru, October 18, 2025: The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has announced the opening of admissions for its new four-year, full-time residential Bachelor of Science (Honours) programmes in Data Science and Economics for the academic session 2026–27. Interested candidates can apply online at ug.iimb.ac.in before November 20, 2025.
The programmes will be conducted at IIM Bangalore’s upcoming Jigani campus and will offer two distinct degree options:

BSc (Hons) in Data Science with a minor in Economics

BSc (Hons) in Economics with a minor in Data Science
The BSc (Hons) in Data Science programme aims to build a strong foundation in data-driven analysis and decision-making. It integrates subjects such as stochastic processes, algorithms, data structures, and psychology with practical business applications. The curriculum emphasizes analytical skills, real-world problem-solving, and experiential learning through internships, global immersion, and leadership development.
The BSc (Hons) in Economics programme combines economic theory, econometrics, and behavioural insights with data science applications. It focuses on developing analytical and critical thinking abilities, statistical proficiency, and professional skills, supported by hands-on projects, industry exposure, and life-skill enhancement.
Both programmes are designed to prepare students for dynamic careers in data analytics, economic policy, consulting, and related fields, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary learning and industry relevance.
