Bengaluru: The Data Centre & Analytics Lab (DCAL) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) will be hosting a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) centred on “Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI” from 25th May to 30th May, 2026. This would be the twelfth edition of DCAL’s annual FDP.
The programme is designed for faculty personnel and doctoral students in the fields of Analytics, AI, Data Science. They will have an opportunity to enhance their pedagogical and research skills through exposure to the many subsets of AI, including Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), and Generative AI.
The insights provided through this FDP are primarlily focused on the sectors of healthcare, retail, supply chain and finance. Participants will, therefore, be introduced to systems like Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics, Neural Networks, Reinforcement Learning, and Agentic AI, and will also be trained to optimise software such as Python, Tableau, Bluesky, Google Colab, and more. Led by academic and industry experts, the programme seeks to build proficiency in relation to industry-relevant ML algorithms, and incorporates case studies from Harvard Business Publishing in its coursework to do so.
Due to the vastly relevant subject matter of the FDP, with regards to both academia and industry, enthusiastic participation is anticipated from educators. Google Form registrations have officially closed after receiving a positive response by both the early bird deadline on 12th April, 2026, and the regular deadline on 11th May, 2026.
The FDP is to take place on the IIMB campus in the Bilekahalli suburb of southern Bengaluru.
