New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced a collaboration with the Government of India to launch skill-training centres across its 70 regional campuses nationwide. The initiative aims to enhance vocational skills, provide industry-aligned training, and increase employability among learners.
The programme will offer courses in digital skills, entrepreneurship, technical trades, and other high-demand sectors. Students will have access to certified trainers, modern equipment, and practical exposure to real-world industry requirements. IGNOU emphasized that this initiative aligns with national skill development goals and seeks to create a strong workforce ready for evolving job markets.
