New Delhi. : INDIRA GANDHI NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY’s (IGNOU) is providing an opportunity for its students to participate in Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2022 by organizing Smart IGNOU Hackathon as an Internal Hackathon during February-March 2022. 

Smart IGNOU Hackathon is basically a gateway for the National level Smart India Hackathon-2022. The teams selected in the Internal Hackathon at IGNOU will be nominated by the University to participate in SIH 2020.  The winning teams at Smart India Hackathon will be awarded with cash prizes up to Rs. One Lakh by the Ministry of Education (MoE) based on complexity level of the problem and further they will be supported financially as well as academically and technically to develop the end product by the SIH team. 

The National Centre for Innovation in Distance Education (NCIDE) at IGNOU invites its students to participate in the Smart IGNOU Hackathon-2022. The participating students can choose any problem statements given on the SIH Website (https://www.sih.gov.in/sih2022PS) under the sectors Agriculture and Rural Development, Clean Water, Robotics and Drones, Healthcare and Biomedical Devices, Renewable Energy, Security and Surveillance, Smart Communication, Smart Vehicles, Waste Management, Food Processing and Miscellaneous to find innovative solution.
