IGNOU Launches Bachelors' (Hons.) Programmes in Urdu and Sanskrit

The applicants interested to enroll in the programmes, can access the admission portal of the University at https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/ and register for the respective programmes.

 
 

New Delhi. : The School of Humanities, IGNOU has launched Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) Sanskrit (BASKH) and Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) Urdu (BAUDH) from January, 2022 admission session. The programmes for the languages were launched through ceremonies held virtually.

Prof. Najma Akhtar, VC Jamia Millia Islamia, Prof. Shaikh Aquil Ahmad, Director, NCPUL, MoE and Prof. Akhtarul Wasey, Former President, Maulana Azad University, Jodhpur were the distinguished guests at the launch of the B.A. Hons. Urdu programme and spoke on the need to propagate the language which has been part of our Culture. Prof. Nageshwar Rao, VC IGNOU in his presidential address at the launch of B.A. Hons. Urdu talked of the many Urdu words used by all of us in our daily lives and said that this amalgamation of the languages makes our culture unique.
       
Prof. Murli Manohar Pathak, VC, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, Prof. Madhusudan Penna, VC, Kavikulguru Sanskrit University, Ramtek and Prof. Hare Krishna Satapathy, VC, Kalinga University were the distinguished guests at the launch of B.A.  Hons. Sanskrit Programme and congratulated IGNOU for starting a UG (Honors) Level programme in Sanskrit. Prof. Nageshwar Rao, VC IGNOU touched on Sanskrit's scientific structure and its connection with Indian ethos and culture since vedic times in his presidential address at the launch ceremony.
