IGNOU Conducts Pan India Placement Drive Across Six Regional Centres, Over 70 Learners Selected

IGNOU successfully organized a pan-India placement drive through its Campus Placement Cell across six Regional Centres. Over 70 learners secured jobs in leading Fintech, IT and BPO firms.

New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), through its Campus Placement Cell (CPC), has achieved a significant milestone by successfully conducting a pan-India placement drive for its learners and alumni across six Regional Centres. The mega drive was organized in coordination with the Regional Centres at Bijapur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Bengaluru and Dehradun, reaffirming IGNOU’s strong commitment to learner employability and industry engagement.

The four-day nationwide placement initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from learners across multiple regions. As a result of these coordinated efforts, more than 70 learners from Karnataka, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand secured employment opportunities in leading Fintech, IT and BPO organizations. Recruiting companies offered diverse roles including Assistant Relationship Manager, Customer Support Executive, HR Generalist, Sales Expert, Collection Officer and other key positions, along with attractive salary packages and performance-based incentives.

IGNOU Regional Centre Dehradun organized a large-scale placement drive on February 12, 2026, in collaboration with the Campus Placement Cell and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Learners from Uttarakhand as well as neighbouring districts of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi participated in large numbers. During the inaugural session, CII State Head Mr. Vaibhav Gupta motivated the participants and introduced the recruiting organizations. The day-long selection process concluded with a substantial number of candidates being selected and shortlisted.

IGNOU Regional Centre Bengaluru conducted its placement drive on February 11, 2026, in association with Policybazaar. As part of extensive outreach, more than 5,000 IGNOU learners and alumni were contacted through digital platforms. Interviews were conducted by the company’s HR representative, Mr. Abdullah, who assessed candidates for suitable roles.

Similarly, IGNOU Regional Centre Mumbai organized a placement drive on February 10, 2026, in collaboration with On Road Logisol Pvt. Ltd. and Policybazaar, where senior company officials interacted with candidates and conducted interviews at the Regional Centre premises. IGNOU Regional Centre Pune held its drive on February 11, 2026, with 47 candidates appearing for interviews for the role of Assistant Relationship Manager across multiple locations in Maharashtra.

IGNOU Regional Centre Bijapur conducted its placement drive on February 13, 2026, witnessing enthusiastic participation from candidates across northern districts of Karnataka. Policybazaar HR representatives Ms. Hamida Sharin and Mr. Abdullha Zaid conducted virtual interviews and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements. Likewise, IGNOU Regional Centre Nagpur organized its drive on February 13, 2026, catering to learners from the Vidarbha region through virtual recruitment sessions with Policybazaar.

These multi-city placement initiatives underline IGNOU’s sustained efforts to strengthen industry linkages and provide structured placement support through its nationwide Regional Centre network.

Appreciating this achievement, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Uma Kanjilal congratulated the Campus Placement Cell, Regional Centres and industry partners for their collaborative efforts. She stated that such pan-India drives provide a large recruitment platform, enhance professional prospects for learners and reinforce IGNOU’s mission of inclusive and career-oriented education. She further congratulated all selected and shortlisted candidates and wished them success in their professional journeys.
