**Exploring Ancient Indian Rituals and Traditions: Insights from "Samskaras: The Early Indian Tradition" Book Launch**

 

New Delhi, : - The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) Kala Nidhi Division hosted a momentous event today at the Samvet Auditorium, dedicated to the launch and discussion of the book titled **"Samskaras: The Early Indian Tradition: An Introduction to Social Dimensions from the Grhyasutras and Dharmasutras"** authored by Shwetanshu Bhushan.

The event commenced with a warm welcome and introductory remarks by Prof. Ramesh C. Gaur, setting the stage for an enlightening discourse on ancient Indian traditions. Dr. Shwetanshu Bhushan, the author, provided profound insights into the essence of his work, highlighting its significance in the study of early Indian societal norms.

The highlight of the occasion was the official launch of the book, symbolizing a significant contribution to the scholarly understanding of Grhyasutras and Dharmasutras. Esteemed scholars contributed their perspectives, including addresses by Prof. D.C. Choubey and Dr. Sudhir Lall from IGNCA, and Prof. Sudhir Kumar from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
