Bengaluru : The ICFAI Business School (IBS) has extended the deadline for applying to the IBSAT (ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test) exam, with applicants now having less than 48 hours to apply. The deadline for applications to be submitted is December 21 (Wednesday) and the exam is scheduled to take place on December 24 and 25 (Saturday and Sunday this week). Applicants are allowed to take the exam online from their homes. The IBSAT exam is required if applicants wish to join the PhD programs, Masters of Business Association (MBA) program and the Post Graduate Program in Management offered by IBS.
In order to qualify for the IBSAT exam, applicants must have graduated in any discipline with minimum 50% marks with their medium of Instruction as English and have finished, at minimum, 15 years of regular education. Any candidates that are in the final year of their bachelor’s degree also qualify for application to the IBST exam.
The IBSAT exam will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) and will last for two hours. Candidates will be questioned in the following areas: analytical reasoning skills, data adequacy, reading comprehension, data interpretation, quantitative techniques and vocabulary. A candidate’s admission will be based on how they perform in a personal interview and group discussion, with the candidate’s previous academic records also factoring into their admission.
Candidates who have written the XAT exam or the CAT/GMAT/NMAT exam by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and have their scores from those exams are also accepted in place of the IBSAT exam, but the exam must have been written in 2020 or onwards.
