HPBOSE Class 10 Merit List 2026 Released at hpbose.org: Check Final Rankings After Re-evaluation

Himachal Pradesh: The HPBOSE has released the Class 10 final merit list 2026 on its official website. The board has released this updated merit list after incorporating the results of re-evaluation and re-checking, if any, in the evaluation records of the examination. Students who had appeared for the regular matriculation examination, 2026, can check the updated merit list, available on the official website of the board.

The new merit list is essential for students whose marks changed after the review process. The Board finalized the merit list on October 2026 after re-evaluation and rechecking results were announced in October. The revised results were incorporated in the main annual examination results, and based on that the final rankings were done. Students should refer the latest rank list and not depend on the earlier ranks. The latest rank list includes revised marks if any, after re-evaluation or re-checking, in the finalization process.

Why Has HPBOSE Released a Revised Class 10 Merit List?

A merit list is a record of students’ relative positions with regard to their examination performance. In case marks are revised after re-evaluation or rechecking, the board has to take note of these changes while finalising the rankings.

According to news reports quoting HPBOSE Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma, the board has incorporated the results of re-evaluation and re-checking which were declared on 23rd October, 2026 into the main examination records. The final Class 10 merit list was prepared on 27th October, 2026.

The position of a student may change with regard to their position on a merit list if their marks are revised. A list prepared before revisions may not represent the final position of a student. An updated merit list would reflect changes caused by revisions.

The announcement is with respect to the regular Class 10 examinations which were held in March, 2026. Students are requested to be sure to open the matric merit list, and not the class 12 merit list or some other examination session merit list.
