Hindi Fortnight 2025 Commences at IIM Calcutta

Director Professor Alok Kumar Rai Inaugurates the Event; Competitions and Activities Planned Till September 26

 

Kolkata : IIM Calcutta marked the beginning of Hindi Fortnight 2025 on September 11 with a formal inauguration by Professor Alok Kumar Rai, the Director of the Institute. The event was graced by Dr. Vichitrasen Gupta, Deputy Director (Implementation) at the Regional Implementation Office (East Zone), Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, who attended as the chief guest.

In his address, Professor Rai appreciated the active participation of faculty, officers, and staff, and emphasized the importance of promoting the use of Hindi in daily work to preserve and celebrate India’s cultural heritage.

The fortnight-long celebration, which will run till September 26, 2025, features a series of engaging competitions including Poetry Recitation, Story Completion, Quiz, Invitation Card Making, Debate, and Hindi Extempore Speech.

The event has been organized under the guidance of the Institute’s Chief Administrative Officer, Shri Alok Chandra; Senior Administrative Officer (Human Resource), Shri Arunava Das; and Assistant Manager (Official Language), Smt. Sunita Dubey.
